It's a cool place for sure. Personal politics won't let me buy there, unfortunately. That's what I get for having convictions...

Good eye Awesomenaut! I havent made it over to the new location yet but I did find out that they still have the cabinet and are asking $1,500 firm and would have to to picked up. Not sure how it would sound as a stand alone cab but they certainly have mojo!
Only just seen this thread. I used one of these cabs for a rehearsal once (a rehearsal space near me has got one) and it was the worst bass sound I've ever had.
Oh well, at least I looked cool.

from my reading they sell for about 1500-2000 each. Sweet lookin cab my friend
Seems like an awful lot of cash for a 120-200w cab...
I remember back in the day seeing a promo shot of Ike and Tina Turner band with an Orange backline featuring those cabs for the bass player. Never have heard one.

Hey MJB, what not just have Don at LDS build you a repro? I bet it'd cost way less than a vintage issue and you'd get a fresh driver to boot.

anyone who owns this cab want to post what they sound like? do they sound just like the ampeg 2x15?
Went in to Action Music with my guitarist this weekend for the first time since they moved to their new location and saw this cabinet there. Gave it a try, using a Marcus Miller jazz bass through an Orange Terror head (wanted to try it with an Alembic Series I they had hanging on the wall, but they wouldn't let me since it was there on consignment 
).
The cabinet sounds pretty good.. it was very clear and was definitely very loud. If it wasn't for the size I probably would have walked out with it. It does have wheels on the back, and the tag on it says that it's one of only thirty made. If true, that adds to the coolness factor.
