Other cell phone companies

Do any of you guys use the other cell phone companies like consumer cellular or Boost Mobile? Good or bad experience?

I’ll put in a plug for Xfinity Mobile, but only if you’re an existing Xfinity/Comcast customer (like for internet). Their cellular service is dirt cheap and as good as AT&T was for me.

I used Boost for almost a year before switching to the T-Mob. Boost was fine until you needed to reach and deal with customer service TM been a veddy veddy good to me, and I would highly recommend them

I've been on Pure Talk - which uses AT&T network - for years with very little to complain about.

Obviously, YMMV.

Friend was on Virgin Mobile, who recently sold out to Boost. He says so far so good with Boost.

MetroPCS user since 2011. No real issues, coverage is good (on T-Mobile network) and I got unlimited data. No complaints from me so far.

Virgin Mobile ran on the Sprint network. Boost runs on the Sprint network so I would expect that he didn't experience any change.

Xfinity runs on the Verizon network.

I switched to Consumer Cellular and halved my Verizon bill.. Bought the Moto G7 Power phone for only $150. Great phone. They use either ATT or T-Mobile, depending on your location. (You can request which one when they send the phone/simm card)

Dead simple to signup and their agents are used to working with (ahem) us older folks. So they are very patient and have great diction. ....

It completely depends on your usage. If you are a light user, check out Ting. It's a pay for use service. We had both our teenagers on it and our bill was about $25/month.

It was simple to start and customer service was excellent.
