Ottobit Jr from Meris

Yeah I notice substantial low-end loss when I bring the bits back past about 50%...blend could help with that. Also, a output or volume know could be handy. I've noticed that the stutter mode makes it seem much louder...and since it's near the end of my chain (just before Nemesis delay). There's nothing between that and my amp...and it's tough to bring the amp volume a touch when my foot is stuck on the beautiful (and soon to be overused) stutter hold button.

Anyway, like I said, with more time spent I'll probably figure out the quirks. The manual they sent out with it was mostly just confusing and didn't do a great job of explaining really anything regarding sequencing and 2nd level functionality. I don't have any Reverb and have told myself I don't need it on my bass board, but if I were to get one, the Mercury7 would be in a close battle with the new Source Audio one at this point...

And I'm still working on which order to put it in. I worry that I'm hurting the tracking by putting it at the end, but I like the idea of crushing my effects at the end of the chain. Tips and pointers there would be much appreesh!

Ottobit Jr incoming ... does anyone know if it's compatible with the Empress Midibox?
Talking to myself here, but y'all can listen in if you want. :)

OK ... first finding is that the first version Midibox does not work with the Ottobit, even though Empress thought it should.

Next step, I'll try modifying one of the ports as per Meris' suggestion, though it'll have to wait until tomorrow as I don't have the right value resistor.

Midi Designer page coming along ... I guess I should be playing but this is fun too. :)

Updated the Ottobit Jr. Editor.
Releases · ElliotGarbus/Ottobit-Jr-Editor-and-Librarian
New Features in Version 1.1
  • Ability to update a preset, without creating a new name To update a preset without changing the name, the preset needs to be saved onto one of the 16 preset buttons. Select the preset, make an edit, and press the new "update preset" button on the top menu bar.
  • Updated file browser
  • and a number of bug fixes
Here is the video for the previous version (It is similar enough that I don't think I'll make a new video.)

Was working on my board and tried to get things to connect and ran into some issues.

The software seems to hang on "Reading Presets, Writing Names".

The ottobit pedal lights up and audibly I hear it begin to toggle through some presets. The Pitch Seq and Filter Seq lights toggle back and forth a few times, but it seems to get stuck and never complete. The connection doesn't seem to fully take and some of the features of the software are greyed out including save to ottobit, but if I change settings in the editor, it is reflected in the audio I hear...I just don't have a way to save anything. The presets all show as "Unnamed" but if I click on them it will change the preset selected on the pedal. Any thoughts? I was never able to use the last version of the editor with my ottobit.

I'm on a windows 10 laptop connected via Roland Um One > Meris MIDI > Ottobit (channel 3). Hedra and a Red Panda pedal are also in the chain.
