Does anybody have one of these?
NOMAD Rechargeable Powered Pedal Board

Call me intrigued but of course the proof is in the pudding. How well does it work? I'm particularly keen on the 12 volt ports offering 1000ma which would be a boon for many of the compressor pedals I've been testing lately. I love the idea of not having to plug in the pedal board.

I'm not affiliated with Outlaw Effects all, but really curious about this one.

Anybody using one?

One the one hand that seems great. On the other, I wonder what this really has over something like PT Volto? At least if you buy the board and battery separately you've got the option to change or upgrade later, not so with the Nomad.

They list a UK supplier but they don't have them on their site... :(

True. Less daisy chaining for one. Can the Volto accommodate 18 volt and 24 volt output?

Indeed not, good catch. I don't really need that so I didn't notice but I can see why others would find that a deal breaker. I sent an email to G4M who carry all of their pedals in the UK to ask if and when they'll be getting the Nomad in stock. I think I want one...

I gave the Nomad a good shot, but in the end it is not compatible with too many of my pedals. It is flexible in the sense that it can power 9 volt, 12, volt, 18 volt, and even 24 volt pedals but it is way too noisy. The outputs aren't isolated of course and so the more pedals added, the more likely it is to get noisy. Two of my compressors were unusable due to high pitched squealing produced. One of the compressors produced a static artifact every time the threshold LED list. With two of my pedals the high pitch squeal oscillates up and down. Great idea, but didn't work for me.

Thank you for the bullet test @scubaduba ! Good to know, it looked a bit too good to be true. I am back to Plan A which will be fine for me as it works with gear on hand. My needs are simpler as all my effects are 9v and I just need 2 lines one for analog and one for digital.

If you only plan to use two pedals, and only 9 volt output, the Nomad might work for you.
