yeah, IMO, the Green is a pretty sounding cool pedal.
I just finished up this one too:

What did you do different to yours? I've heard guys say low end retention isn't so good on the TC. Did you fix that?

IMO, the TC has plenty of low end. I actually modded the top end (made it brighter) and gave it more gain/dirt on the fat and mid settings. What did you do different to yours? I've heard guys say low end retention isn't so good on the TC. Did you fix that?
a couple more new ones:
Tube Screamer for bass with treble and bass controls and 3-way clipping option:

Maxon DS-830 Distortion Master with Bass control eq frequency lowered for bass use:

and both of them sound great.
Hey John, I was wondering if you've tried this Rat knock-off.
I've only seen them on ebay. I got mine for $28 and it was totally worth it.
no I haven't. that one looks great for the price, although I've always found stock Rats (or even ones with 3-way clipping) to cut too much low end for use with a bass.
that said, that one's quality of construction looks good to me.
thanks. I like it too.The TS808 doesn't seem to get much love around TB, but John, your version sounds GREAT.
nope. I haven't tried the soul food yet, but my Klone was modded for bass so i'd assume that the SF might need a mod too.Just curious, have you compared the EHX Soul Food to your Klone? I know guitarists are going crazy for them, but I was wondering if it's a viable option for a boost/light bass OD, too.
not very hard. there are quite few relay kit modules available for that.Hey John, sorry to derail but...
How hard is it/would it be possible to change the footswitch on a pedal to the soft-click style Spencer uses on all the Darkglass stuff?
I mean is it a good idea, possible, or just a complete waste of time?
I used Link Removed but modified it quite a bit since it was way too flubby sounding unmodded. That *GREEN* matamp emulator sounds great. What schematic did you use?
