as far a fuzzes go, the Yardbox, Univox Superfuzz, Baldwin-Burns Buzzaround, Shin Ei FY-2, various ToneBenders, Mosrite Fuzzrite and the Maestro FZ-1 are the first ones that come to mind for me.
Check out the Earthquaker Tone Reaper if you are looking for something ultra unique and versatile. It's a dual fuzz (a muff type and a tonebender type) with an octave up control. You can use any combination of the 3 sounds together. Very nice fuzz if unique and versatile are your goals.

yep, it's a green/matamp emulator. it's very similar to an orange amp emulator but the drive stage is pre eq, and boost stage is post. in the orange, they're both post eq.

yeah, IMO, the Green is a pretty sounding cool pedal.
