I make the PCBs for the Ox Fuzz and Ken is still surprised at how many more he needs to order. I'm printing a new bunch of boards right now.

it shipped earlier this week, toronto is not that far from detroit(4 1/2 hours), i hope it arrives today, if not then i'm sure it will be here by monday.

it's a keeper, i just gave a good thumping, it's a got a nice wool to it, it's a fuzz face circuit, germanium fuzz. i wish i had time to make clips, i might be able to do a clip or two this weekend.

I developed the bass version for Ken but it's still his magic with rare transistors for the fuzz sound.
Personally I think it sounds great which I probably shouldn't say as it's direct competition to the Attack Goat.

Looks like the guitar version is germanium but the bass version is silicon. Since nobody's posted a pic yet:

The bass version has low gain silicon transistors to sound like germanium, but you can always ask Ken to put germanium ones inside like I did. After owning two Sun Faces: NKT-275 and BC-108 I know that germanium fuzz face is my favourite - except B:Assmaster of course - bass fuzz I think Ken is using NKT-274 transistors which are smoother and have more gain than 275 version.

Thanks for the update. I wonder if he can just add a 9v power supply? Or do you just prefer an on/off switch. I would love to see a picture when you get it.
^ I think he can add dc jack. Fuzzes with NOS trannies are supposed to work better with batteries - I can't say how much truth there is. I use power adaptor for all my pedals but I simply don't mind having one that runs on battery only. On/off pot is enough for me.

The whole battery/power supply debate is silly. It's all about how you bias the transistors. If you like the battery running low sound then you can bias them for that sound and still use a regulated power supply. Which why having a bias knob for a Fuzz Face circuit is always nice.
