Every bass player that I could see who performed with each band and group at the Grammys was playing a P-Bass. I was surprised that no one was playing a "J" , which was telling.

I thought that too, but according to the Fender website he plays a Pino Palladino signature P- Bass. Same Fiesta Red/tort color scheme.
