My Highway One with Rosewood guard. I actually took it off already. I'm not sure but I just couldn't quite get into it. Seeing the pictures now kind of makes me want to put it back on though.

I'm really indecisive when it comes to pickguards.

Please ignore the lack of knobs and infiltrating Les Paul.

P.S. I don't need a number, I think I might actually have one already.

I really like that pickguard. It looks so much better than my black one. Next time I do a P-bass build, I think I'll get one of those for it.

The rosewood pg looks fantastic IMO.

Two things I would do:

Swap all chrome screws for black
Buy a closed-hole pup cover

Then you'd have something like this...

A great looking twin!

I am putting the rosewood back on, I like it so much more than the black one I have on it.

::Bassist:: I will definitely be getting some black screws that looks awesome. I like my exposed pole pieces though. Seems as though we have pretty similar interest when it comes to bass gear. I just picked up the WT-400 a little while ago. I'm loving the tone with my P.

My first precision is coming in tommorrow.

So far ive used:
- Gibsons
-Jazz basses
- Spector's
- My beloved stingray

And hopefully this will offset the ray's ballsiness.

Its an 03 highway one with the american pickups in it with the s-1 switch.

Cant wait!

Seems like I should have found this thread earlier, but count me in this club.

I started on a '69 P-bass that was three color sunburst, rosewood neck, and tortoise shell pick guard. Sold it early on for a '72 white jazz and have been regretting it ever since. Have owned many p-basses in the intervening years (my favorite was a '66 candy apple red that was stolen from a band rehearsal space) and have finally settled on a rebuilt '59 that I bought for $250 in '83. Still love the sound, look, and feel of a p-bass, though I don't play mine all that much these days having recently been converted to Reverend rumblefish.

It's hard to go wrong with a p. I'm sure there's some things have been improved in all those years since Fender finalized the design but there's just so much right with them.

I have to agree, the black pearloid does look hideous with the honey blonde....But it looks pretty good with some finishes.

Looks great on yours. I am a fan of pearloid in general, just not (obviously) black on honey blonde. Should have went went the old faithful tort in the first place. Looks 'right' now. Still debating whether or not to add the thumb rest and pup cover. I have had both for a while now and the guard is already drilled for them, but since neither serve any real purpose, I'm hesitant to install. Bridge cover won't fly with that huge-ass Quan on there.
