P-Bass Club (Part 2) Precision Decisions

My mother told me to put a tort gaurd on a Pbass once..... once:D

LOL... cork-soaker

I have an 03 Hwy1. I can't seem to decide on a pickguard to go with the red. I know I don't like the white one that is on there. Tort just looks strange with red...I was looking at one of the diamond plate aluminum ones...but I think that may be too redneck. Although......I do play in a East Texas Country Band.

Any suggestions?

I've always liked black pickguards on red basses, but I find white works nicely too. I would suggest a pearloid guard, or a plain black one for just a touch of class :D
Tho the pearloid might be too similar to white for your taste.

I don't know, my knee-jerk answer was gonna be white pearloid. I did that to a black Ric, and considering the same for a Candy Tangerine P bass. Pearloid has a certain,... pearly-ness to it.

Interesting grain on the body. What is that '99?

Yeah it's a 1999 Mia. info from guitar dater website

Your guitar was made at the
Corona Plant (Fender), USA
in the Year(s): 1999 - 2000

Been playing a 1996 American Jazz for the past 3 years and used this P-bass for the first time last weekend and WOW what a difference this bass sounded awesome and the pickups are a lot hotter than my jazz, I haven't have a P-bass since I was 16 (over 30 years ago) I forgot how much I really dug these basses.....

Black and White...Looks good with Midnight Wine. I bet it would look killer on that bass.
