Nice to see another white P that is as tatty as my '63. Still with its original family too, that's quite some thing. Do you (or your Dad) still have the original case and stuff that came with it, as I'm sure a pic of those would go down well too?

So true, I've got six plus two more under construction. And every one of them has a personality all its own.
I have just bought another P Bass, a MIM Roadworn '50s. I did try it side by side with a Lakland Bob Glaub (same colour and neck scheme) and it was way nicer and lighter too. Also tried a standard MIM '50s P, not in the same league by comparison (as it shouldn't be for the extra money it cost). Anyway for your viewing delight.....
The wear isn't badly done, but nothing like the real thing, no crazing for example.
I plan to put another P P/up in it in the not too distant future. If I make a mess of the routing at all at least it won't stand out!

It really does look good, great even, far superior to the original MIM relic, that disasterpiece of a "Joe Strummer Stratocaster" :scowl:

Skyline, still more expensive than the Fender though by about $126. Don't get me wrong the Lakland was nice, it's just that the Fender neck felt more like home, the sound was better balanced (easily fixed, but it should already be done eh?) and much lighter.
I see that you also run P basses through Markbass and Schroeder, just a killer combination.
Interesting, because of the whining that rages about Fender's price increase. I can't count how many times the Skyline has been dragged in for comparison by people who haven't had the chance to compare the two. And a MIM, no less.
Re: The Ps, Markbass and Schroeder, I can't even describe how excited I was when I first played the combination. It was my '03 P with the LMII through the 410R (4 ohm). Played a quick burst of notes and then stopped and thought (and felt) "Oh my god!"
Never knew I could sound so good.
