Nice! It's kind of hard to tell what's going on with the finish there. Was it refin'd at some point?Can I join?

Cool, thanks for the info. I kind of like the fact that it's beaten up and was refinished roughly, yet has great tone and playability. That's what counts! Plus, I bet the risk of theft is a lot lower.The '59 was that color when I bought it in 1973. I don't know if you can tell from the picture but there are quite a few scars and dings on it. It's been around the block two or three times.
I don't think it was treated all that will by its former owners and was given a quick and dirty home paint job, including trying to match the headstock to the pickguard.
Still it plays and sounds great.
