my '93 MIJ squier silver series. Through all the precisions I've played (from squier affinitys, to my teacher's fender custom shop), this is the one that's felt like the perfect one for me. It really needs a set up at the moment though, unfortunately.

the neck looks more like this now:

I've thinking about getting rid of the F plate cover, and replacing it with a precision one.

the only P bass I have at the moment. made from parts bought here and on ebay. I have less than $300.00 in it

'62 RI body , fender tuners , fender black PG, quality pots and etc... , 62'RI P bass bridge. OK neck soon to be replaced with a fender or warmoth neck , maple board I do believe.
Sorry for the white pups but they are vintage DiMarzio's , they have "patent applied for" on the back . They are HOT!!! , I have a set of HWY 1 pups but I like these better . I want to paint them black but hate to ruin them as they are '70's vintage model "P" pups.

note the epi ripper re-issue P/J top right ( impulse buy and a great bass to boot , bonus flame maple on the fingerboard) A P bass wanna-be

Couldn't you just replace the White covers with Black ones, you could always hold on to the White ones in a safe place?

The guts appear to be "epoxied" to the covers
