that is gorgeous!
Thanks! The pic does not do it justice. I have a brand new Spector NS-2JA-R sitting here as well and all I can do is look at and play the P-Bass right now! It is strung with Fender Flats and sounds great!

Spector 491!
Sweet bass!!!!
I got a MIM 50's Precision Bass a few weeks ago and I wanted to change the gold pick guard to something else, it ended up coming to me with the gold one damaged anyway, so here it is with a single ply gloss black .090" Warmoth pick guard. I'd like a number if they are being passed out, please!

hmm I would have gone with tort I think...
but they are great basses(a buddy of mine owned one)
Considered the tort, but didn't like the idea with a maple board, DEFINITELY would have done it with rosewood.
yeah with rosewood tort would have been awesome... I just find the red to be to orangy and the black to black....
According to the Fender Bass book by Klaus blasquiz that bass is from around 1983, when the fender standard series had those white p-upcovers
Here's my new 08 P bass that I just got last week. It plays and sounds great. The changes Fender made for 08 make this a really nice bass. Hopefully Fender can keep it up![]()
