Nice, but got to say I prefer the white pickguard on the 57

I've actually been thinking about changing it back to white. At the time I made the change, the guitard I was playing with had a sunburst strat with a white pg. Having matching instruments looked kind of dorky, so I had Warmoth cut a 1-ply black guard for me. I've also been debating about putting bridge and pup covers on this one.

i want in :D

it's a 76 neck and a 77 body. bought it for $40. I had to put a dimarzio in it - the original pickup was shot. original rosewood neck had a crack in the headstock - i traded with the repair tech. He liked the rosewood - i liked the maple -

I'm in!

Just bought my first Fender after a lifetime of resistance. Tried a pile of 'em until I picked up an American P and fell in love. I don't know what it was that set this one apart, maybe the satin finish on the neck and rosewood fretboard or the perfect set up, but I couldn't put the thing down. I've always played Rics, but this one just fit. I must be maturing or something...

I'm in! PM me with a number.

My heavily modded Highway One Precision in Honey Blonde.

-Swapped out the stock pickups for Nordstrand NP4's and also removed the Greasebucket tone and installed an Orange Drop .1uf cap. The stock pickups are for sale.

-You can't see it but I swapped the BadAss II bridge for a Fender Highway One Vintage Bridge (The BAII is for sale!)

-Changed the neck plate on the back for a '70's F plate.

-Installed a tug bar, and pickup/bridge covers

-Swapped the stock parchment pickguard for a '62 RI Red Tort from Link Removed

-Strung with Fender 9050ML's

That is a stunning bass! Nice work.
I also swapped out the Badass II on my P-bass for a stock bridge, mostly so I could put a bridge cover on. But, I've found I like the tone better with the stock bridge.

Yeah it's a subtle change, but well worth it. The best part if you swap out the bridge is the fact that you can sell the BadAss and make your money back or even a profit on the new bridge :D
