Well, I was waiting until I had a few more pictures, including some of the headstock, but it doesn't look like that will be happening any time soon, and I'm impatient, darnit!

So here's my new baby, a MIM Fender Deluxe P Bass Special. Alder P body, J neck with maple fretboard, P/J pups, Badass II bridge installed. Picked her up on ebay a couple weeks ago.

I just spent yesterday evening and tonight tweeking the Bad Ass II I got from fourstringdrums ( Thanks!!) and I can't believe the difference! I bought the 50's P-Bass because I heard it was a great bass, I did not care about the vintage accuracy. Fist thing I did as you can see earlier in this thread was put on a gloss black pick guard. I have an original Bad Ass on my Spector NS-2JA-R and I really like the bridge, so I figured I'd try one on the P-Bass. I am getting a VERY piano like tone from the bass now! I can't believe it! It sounds piano'ish just like the Spector! Can it really just be this brand of bridge? I filled the bridge screw holes with wood filler and really tightened the screws down after letting it dry. I strung it with a new set of Fender 9050S ML flats and I am very happy with the results. :bassist:

A family pic (NS2A is in the shop):

MIM precision body with mighty mite jazz neck and nordstrand np4's.

No body shots? :) Where did you get the 70's decal and how do you like the NP4's? Bitchin' huh? :D

This entire bass was bought used. So I have no idea where he got the decal. haha.

But the NP4...man...so sweet. When I had TI flats on there, I'd roll off the tone and such sweet, smooth thump.

Now I have D'addario rounds and the pickup is ALIVE!

Here are my p basses. Sorry, I don't know how that jazz got in there. From left to right... '72, '69, 74'(possible refin) and '59 cs reissue. The Jazz is my newest bass. Its a '62 american vintage reissue with custom matching headstock. I hope you can see the pictures. I'm new at interwebbing.

Now here's a guy who knows what he likes, has what he likes, and plays what he likes. And that stack of amps is impressive, looks like electric thunder.
