True. Geddy's first ever bass was a P-Bass copy, then he bought a Fender P, if i'm not mistaken

Jaco is know for the J bass, did he ever play a P bass?

He would certainly have played one, but I don't know if he did on any gigs or records. And he had a precision neck on a jazz for Modern Electric Bass.
