Same here.. the P Bass gets most of the work.I bring my Precision and Sadowsky to gigs. Im about 3 sets to 1 on the P.
I’m in the same situation... trying not to play to give more of my spare time to the kids ...If plugged in, usually a 2HB, both on. I have a tendency to hit hard in the middle and it tames that. However, in 2018 I am currently in a different country to my basses, amps... not even a lead or strap here. My student son's come over for the holidays and I'm finding that Pot Noodle remnants stretched over the top gives a decent low end. Reading TB is keeping me going but also making me itchy. Might have to break my ban on flight luggage.
How about a 2018 poll. What sort of bass do you play most of the time? What is your main go-to sound?
P-style (single pickup in the style of the Fender Precision)
J-style (two pickup in the style of the Fender Jazz)
Other (Stingray, Ric, Dual HB, Piezo, etc.)
Only one vote. Ya gotta pick.
