My band does an acoustic thing from time to time. Our set up is as follows -
Behringer MX802A 4 channel mixer - Left main out to 2 Mackie SRM 450's on stands, Right main out to 2 Mackie SRM 450's on the floor for monitors. Quick easy and done. What I am wanting to do is add a small pedal like 7 band EQ to the system. I want to move the Right side to one of the Aux's to allow each person a little more volume, but I loose the 3 band eq then. Easiest to add a small pedal EQ I think.
Any input would be cool and helpful.

I think those pedal EQs (for guitars) are expecting an instrument level and impedence, and you are looking for an EQ that is made to work with line level gear.

I always use the aux sends for monitors, and use the main outs for the Front of House speakers. This lets you adjust the volume of each input into each aux send. Since you have powered monitors, you can easily take advantage of the 2 aux sends that you have. The problem is your 3 band EQ will effect both aux sends and your main out, but that is normal. Since it is acoustic, and you are using all the SAME speakers for FOH and monitors, chances are that once you dial in each inputs 3 bands of EQ, that you won't even need much more EQ work. That's a big benefit of matches speakers. If you do need more EQ, then I would recommend a 2 channel rack unit, or at least something that is designed for line level use.

Good point on the line level. Didn't even think about that. As I reread the manual (duh) I see that Aux 2 is post EQ and Aux 1 is Pre. We can use the Aux 2 and we will get botht eh EQ for FOH and Monitors and still have individual control (While only 1 mix) of each individual person! Great. I actually don't need a seperate EQ after all.
