The shop can match any PPG color. I’d get something 100% unique over one of the stock choices. Out of your options, I’d go natural ABZ because the grain on the ash always looks fantastic.

I see what you’re saying yeah it does look odd with two woods that contrast that much. Maple top on ash body though for example I think is a bit different because they are much closer in colorYeah 100% makes sense. But i prefer ab models in solid colours due to this area. I dont like the visual asymmetry it creates… even with bursts. Z3 is the way to go to showcase wood imho. Without a laminated top it is fine however.

From your list… I voted aqua. But I like that platinum and the white too.
My 1st choice would be shade of purple.![]()
"Paint my Dingwall!"
At first, I thought that was some sort of euphemism for....well, that's not important...
Burnt orange is not an option?

Well what can I say, you sir clearly have very good taste!I have that same picture on my desktop as the burnt orange I'd want on a bass or refinish!
My preference when using a dark neck/fretboard is to have a high contrast body. This typically means something bright. You have the Matte Ducati White option included, which is a great look but I've always found it to be a little cold. When I built my Super J I spec'd out a pearl white that I spotted on a coworker's Lexus. The paint shop didn't exactly match the references but what they did was excellent. It's a warmer option for white that would blend with the wenge differently than the Ducati white. Not sure if it's your thing or not, but thought I'd point it out.

I always contemplate what a bass will look like under different colored stage lights when color is discussed. I think the Platinum would be a nice chameleon color.
Yes! This! Which is why most of my basses have been wood, white or black.
