Very interesting from one of the kings of speaker cab sims. I sometimes just plug a sansamp into the P.A. when I don't feel like lugging an amp, and as a backup. I've always been interested in ampless technology. I'd like to see a you tube video with it plugged directly into the camera.

Yea and I dont think he used the cab sim at all, which would have been nice to hear. I think the distortion sounds pretty harsh on that video, because of that fact.

Argreed, horrible demo, but a great sounding J bass. Dude should learn how to utilize all four fingers on his left hand. I'm cramping up just watching him.

I think it sounds fine on clean mode but not a big fan of the dist or the fuzz, and the cab sim dont really improve the sound either.

I just purchased the Palmer Pocket Bass Amp.
I can't seem to be able to connect my external effects pedals to the unit. I believe I have the right cable but when I plug it in it bypasses the EQ on the Palmer and my external effects can not be heard. Can someone assist? Maybe with a diagram?

Also, the differences in sounds when using the built in EQ are only barely noticeable. There is not much difference at all when turning the knobs. It does change, but only slightly. Also I can't discern any difference between the three cab simulation positions. Is this normal?

Palmer makes solid stuff. I have their junction DI that is voiced for guitars and i use it between the speaker output of my combo amp and the speaker so it has a DI out. It sounds really good in my in ears, much more musical than just hearing the signal on a mic'd speaker. Very solid piece of gear.
