My Korean exchange student roommate back in college mocked me for eating the kim chi straight.So in another thread about armpits I said that I don't even notice my armpits unless I eat kimchi. He also was very insistant as to which sesame oil and soy sauce were appropriate matches. I suspect salt and pepper would've caused him to have a breakdown.
In his defense though, the man truly had a passion for Banana Republic products.
