Paul McCartney using his stolen Hofner tonight

IIRC, in the Get Back documentary the engineer is trying to get him to play a Ric but he prefers the hofner and specifically mentions the light weight.
You remember correctly. Also, in some of the clips of his most recent shows, he's playing an ES335 looking Gibson. I don't know if it replaced the Paul entirely but when I saw him seven years ago, when he played a six string, it was exclusively the Paul, IIRC.

That's his original 1964 Epiphine Casino. On some tours he would break it out for "Paperback Writer" saying this was the guitar used on the record. He aslo used it on several Wings tours.

The only other electric guitars he's used live are:

1960 Les Paul Gold Top
Circa 1992 Music Man Albert Lee (two shows only)
