Hey, y'all. Today I gave away a bass rig. Older, kinda beat on the corners, heavy, but loud as heck and moving air. Since it doesn't happen without pics here is a photo. Basically a 4X12 with 600W of iron ore. I have to say it felt really good to help out a kid from the neighborhood.
So today is Old Gear Day!
I encourage a few of you to try this sometime or tell me about something you may have done to boost up an aspiring musician who maybe could use a little help. I'm not rich, not poor, somewhere in the middle and in this difficult time I'm glad I could share a little.
Who's got next?

My main gigging rig for a decade was the Peavey 2x15 (BW's) under a MusicMan HD150. I retired as a high school principal. One of my student office workers was a talented guy - singer, guitarist, keyboards, but was trying to play bass (needed for that group).

I gave him the Peavey cab, some 15 years ago. (I had moved on to lighter equipment.) He is now a firefighter. I ran into his father recently who reminded me that I had given his son that cab all those years ago. It must have made an impression.

Yes and no! Haha. Pulled some bolts to get my hand in to check the connections. Got distracted. Next time!

One of my best friends was a music teacher (we are both retired now) who I used to help by teaching electric bass to several of his students every semester. I made a gift of one of my bass amps to my friend's school. Every time I attended one of his concerts, I saw my old amp on stage, being used by his students, which made me feel great!

Powerline 400? Not sure if there is an extended SKU string. 2 channel with switchable bridging. Got a lot of years of service. BBE preamp which had a really manageable output. Old stuff. Ran 2 pretty big cabs when that was a thing. Happy days come with Class D and lighter/smaller speakers.
Ok, that's based on the same platform as the 2501 with the side to side cooling that didn't work as well as the back to front cooling. The fans were really loud too.
