Rebuilt this 70s speaker cabinet over the past week, used Dayton 10s (they were the best matched the internal volume of this cabinet) sounds pretty darn good too, it may be my newest favorite cab now.

Do Peavey's have a distinct sound or are they 'neutral' and let the player add their own flavor?I've got a soft spot for Peavey amps of all sorts, they were everywhere when I started playing in punk bands in the late 80's. I've owned a bunch of Peavey guitar and bass gear, I can usually can find them super cheap, and can't say no to a bargain. Picked this one up for $40, and later traded it for a Mesa Boogie Studio .22+:

I found the F-800B in a combination pawn shop/scrap yard in the middle of Florida, and drove 100 miles to get the TVX412. I've only played a few shows with the 412, but it's been worth it every time, this cabinet is a wrecking machine:
