New owner of an 80s (84 I think) Basic 40, and it is simply amazing, especially for the price I paid.
The sound is so much more satisfying than any of the small amps in my budget.

I've shared this in a couple other places here, but I got this TKO for 45$ and I originally intended to use it as a cab as the amp was blown, but it turned out to be a pretty easy fix with some new power transistors.
While I fixed it I also tore it down and cleaned the entire thing as uhhhh it had some funk, also replaced the grill cloth as the cloth that was on there smelled like a damn ashtray.

I've been driving the power amp section of it with a pre-amp pedal and that has been working wonderfully well, had it out for a rehearsal yesterday and I got to turn it up a bit and I was presently surprised how well it kept up with loud drums/guitar.

Yes a little to much for the room 15 is not connected.... Just keeping the gain at 1.5 so I don't fall out with sound guy
