Hi all,

Picked up a candy apple red Peavey Forum today. MIA, p/j pups, awesome sound...loving it better than any bass I've picked up yet. The serial number puts it at '94...but other than that I have no info on it. The neck is sweet and it looks like a three part maple/rosewood but I'm not sure. I have no idea what the body is made of and if anybody knows that would be cool. Also, does anyone know where the Forums were made in the States? Thanks.

I think all MIA Peavey basses were made in Meridian Mississippi.

If it's a '94 P/J, it's probably a Poplar body.
Just picked one up myself last week.

poplar was very common... if it's lighter this is probable

I just picked one up in ebay, the first one too. Passive pickups, rosewood neck. Looking forward to playing it. I'll give a review once I have played it for a while...

My 92 Foundation is alder I'm pretty sure all US peavy's back then were alder. Just checked link above, they were poplar. I don't know nuttin.
