Well, I've added the Warwick MEC, and an EMG 3-Band in the G-Bass as well. I think the Stoc one was better...

I just picked up a G bass 5, dual pick ups and I like the way it sounds as is so far. Not as mid rich as a cirrus but def modern sounding. I've seen videos on the 'Tube of stock 4's and they sounded phenomenal in my opinion. Strings didn't help?

These preamps have been upgraded (according to Peavey) and they are now 72.00 bucks, which is good to hear because the last time I bought one it was the last one they had and they said were now discontinued!
Thankfully I still have that new one I bought as couple of years ago, I'm hoarding it for another Cirrus, if I can find one...

Note that the knobs available are not an exact match to the original USA Millennium knobs. Referring to the 'Dome' knob p/n 75025010, the overall diameter is the same but the original is roughly 1 mm taller, the shaft hole is about .5mm larger, making the fit a bit sloppy, but that's better than being too small, and the knurls are not as fine on the new ones. the stacked knobs are a bit different too, but they'll fit. A little disappointed that some touch up will be required on every one.

Seeing that Cirrus preamp go into the garbage is crazy ! It works and has all those extra parts like pots etc, when needed. To have a time machine...

Any idea what size the mid stacked pot is?

The top shaft is 1/8 inch and the bottom shaft is 1/4 inch--making it pretty hard to source the correct knobs.
