Good news...I'd like to get mine repaired as well~
Glass ToMouth I had a Problem with my MiniMega shutting down after not much time less than to min. It was not being pushed and never had been. I removed the cover and the fan was unplugged once I plugged it back in It has worked flawlessly.
Also knob position has no bearing on when the amp reaches max power. At half gain and half volume that amp is probably near max output.

Sittin' in a box waiting for shipping, whilst the Quilters satisfy BEYOND expectation. Even when repaired it'll be relegated to back-up status. Too bad...I did think the miniMEGA was pretty cool...but the Quilter amps are mind-blowing~

Peavey shipped the amp back, received it yesterday, and it powers on and makes glorious sound! Haven't run it through any stress testing, but it's working and I'm happy to have it back!

Soooo ... I touched bass with Fred@PV about fixes/updates to the Mega after so many failures reported. He indicated the issues had been fixed?
What say you? Has it been remedied? Still issues with it? A safe buy, now?

On the service receipt they listed everything they did, which included replacing some damaged components and ALSO replacing some components to bring it to current specs. If it's iron-clad reliable then I'll replace a compressor pedal and a light always-on over drive on my pedalboard with their on-amp counterparts, which will be neat!

To be fair, as I understand it, amps often undergo several revisions over their production life, for a variety of reasons. In itself, this doesn't mean that they were ever necessarily unreliable -- and I can't say how reliable or unreliable, on the whole, the Minimegas have been -- but, judging by forum traffic, they've had their share of issues and it would be nice to know that those have been substantively addressed.
I'm glad that you got your amp back and that it is running well for you. I hope that it continues to for a long, long time!
Maybe it's a good time to look into getting my about 4 yr old MM 1K repaired or at least checked out. Almost 1 yr ago, I sat down in my spare room to practice some tunes and the amp just did not turn on. I had not gigged it in a couple months, it just sat in its bag. Not sure what made not just fire up again as it had before. I had planned to use it for that up-coming gig, had to use another amp.
And now that backup amp, GK MB800 is down too. I'd been using my latest get, GR ONE-350 watt amp. THat thing works like a charm and loud as heck with any of my different cabs. But with no backup, besides my Ampeg RI-V4B, hardly a good backup amp to carry around, I just took delivery of a new Quilter Bass Block 800 today.
Three gigs next week to try it out with the 2 new MarkBass NY151 cabs I just bought last week. Hoping to get the GK MB800 or MM-1K repaired as backup amps to my GR ONE and maybe now the Quilter 800.

Follow up! Performed flawlessly at my gig last Friday across three sets. I only got the Volume up to around 11oclock running through a single 15" Low Down neo cab and a touch of LOW boost, but it brought the goods!
Just curious. What bass do you use and where is your gain control set?
I'm still getting to know my MiniMega. I can run the gain at 3/4 without distortion and the volume at noon or less for the low key gigs that my band plays. But I kind of expected the rig to be louder.
I think my GK MB500 blows the Peavey away, SPL-wise, but I haven't actually ABd them side-by-side.
Again, I have probably used the MM on 20 gigs or so, but haven't really had a chance to experiment with all of its parameters.
I'm looking at getting a used MM 1000.
I know there have been issues.
Are the issues generally isolated to a certain time?
If I buy it and it goes to hell, am I stuck with a piece of useless garbage?
Are they fixable?

I used a passive Yamaha BB3000S into a Low Down 15" cab, probably 8ohms, but I could be wrong (bought it used from a friend who perhaps had the speaker installed at Low Down's recommendation).
I set all the knobs to 12oclock, then tweaked from there. I left Gain at 12oclock, and only got volume up to around 11:30, with a tiny bit of Low bump for the stage I was on, and it seemed plenty loud.
I also run it through my Bergantino 610 and with a Bass VI, parts-bass P/Thunderbird jazz, and it's enormous.
I'm not convinced the Gain knob is for distortion unless Crunch is engaged, that's something to consider. See if the Manual has any info on setting Gain versus Master volume, etc?

As I understand it, the early versions were the most likely to have issues, so get a serial number or more info and see what year it was produced to gauge your likelihood of needing some work.
This. I believe the very early ones had some sort of funky lighting issue but it was caught early on.

I bought it new probably 2-3 years ago. I’ve never had any issues with it. Never played a live show but my bands practices get loud and it always worked perfectly for me
