A new one joins the herd. A T-40 parts body with a late model Milestone III rosewood neck with a 1 1/2" topnut. As much as I love the way the T-40 sounds I never got along with the 1 3/4" four string topnut spacing. Had to massage the neck pocket about .010" each side and file a taste of wood off the round heel of the neck for fit and to have some lateral adjustment for string margin. Drilled new mounting holes in the neck but didn't have to dowel the old. Strung BEAD, this one's perfect for me. The Milestone neck had the large clover tuner holes and so the Titan nuts needed some masking tape wrapped around them for a snug fit. Put the truss rod cover on for the "vintage" look since the trussrod has the wheel at the heel (is there a song there?). I've changed the applied pinstripe to follow the peghead contour and not have the fake gut hook. Don't know what i was thinking but I had just finished doing the same thing to a new natural ash Milestone. Guess it just carried over. Hardware changed from chrome to black and neck swapped for a rosewood on it.

Thank you!!Welcome on board, @Honk'n_down-low. Looks like a good example you'll be getting. From the blade pickups and large bat handle switches you'll have an '80s model. Here's a list of serial numbers toward the bottom with the years used. Only the first 4 digits are needed.

Wow!I bought this one on eBay recently. I was looking for a blank plank maple Precision bass but this one popped up and I had to have it. Six digit serial number with mostly zeros.
