I saw it i just got side tracked haha. What drop d tuner is it? like brand wise?
The thing i noticed about yours is the neck pocket route is amazingly nice looking. I had a sunburst t40 and sold it because the pocket was routed so crappy some with the guard , i guess it was a friday and the workers were hurrying on mine or it was parted together, but yours looks like it fits perfect , clean and no gaps.

Still looking for opinions. I'm pretty aesthetically challenged.
Can someone share pickup switch settings and tone knob number settings for the T-40? Also a description of what sound you get with the settings. e.g. Rickenbacher.

But on that note, on your T40's, when you play more in the middle of a fret thats closer to the headstock, do you get a fretbuzz? im told thats normal (since where the fret is, because only like the 3 or 4 closest to the headstock that will buzz when played in middle of the fret), but im wondering if it really is normal, and if theres a way to fix it.

There's some website that sells several different colors. WDMusic and pickguard heaven are a couple of them.

My first bass was a natural finish/maple board T40 (gave it away to a needy player long ago), and I still have a fretless T20 - does that count?
BTW, I'm a big Violent Femmes fan and after a show in Tempe, AZ once I had the band sign my T40, on which I learned to play by listening to their records. Brian Ritchie then proceeded to tell me, "Yeah, these are good basses. I played one on our first record." I'm pretty sure "Gone Daddy Gone" has a T40 on it.

T40 - that is a great color for a T-40 and the black guard and maple neck complete the look. Thanks for posting that beauty.
