Hi everyone. My first post on TB :)

Welcome! Your first post is about 762% more manly than the average first TB post, CONGRATULATIONS! :D

True, but regarding the "manliness" of T-40s...

I periodically like to post pictures of the bassist from a band in which I play guitar---to counter the legions of "T-40s are too heavy! Oh, my back/my shoulders/my arms!" Amber never complains.

See how happy she is to be playing a T-40:

P.S. I don't have a T-40 of my own but I sold that one to her.

It's like Irish Spring - Manly yes, but she likes it, too! :D

Me and my T-40 about 28 years ago (Frat Party College Park MD ~ 1981 - I was the young one in the band at about 15-16). Rockin' the Levi's Straight-Leg Cords...I think I had a pair in every color.

I got the T-40 when I was in middle school just as it hit the market. My dad took me down to Bill's Music House to get a Fender Precision. They had this bass that had just come in that the salesman said could sound like Precision or a Rickenbacker 4001 or anything in between...and it looked cool as a mubbahubber! SOLD!

I hadn't really touched it since college, but I got the T-40 out a little bit ago and took it to Bill's to get some of the wiring re-soldered. The same guy from more than 30 years ago was still there in the service department.

With the pot reconnected and fresh strings, it's like it's been in suspended animation. I got myself a little amp and have started goofing around the house with it. Good times again.
