I got myself the behringer mx400 to mix my minitaur output with the C4 and Aftershock's second output , 20€ I don't regret at all

later I found the Red Panda mixer that costs 100€ more , looks way cooler and has 1 input less …

only real difference - behringer runs on 12v with a wider connection

any reasonable logical explanation on what would I benefit from spending 100€ more ?

The variables would be the amount of channel noise and quality of whatever preamps are involved.

It takes a 5V USB power input, which is annoying. I just used a 5V regulator on my 9V pedal board supply and a USB cable I soldered onto it, but some folks may not have the comfort or patience for that. I looked inside, and that 5V is actually increased to +15V and -15V rails. In other words, plenty of headroom. I use it on my pedal board, and don't find a noise issue. The variable output comes in handy too.

I didnt read that original post very well: sorry about that. I'm going to say no. Even the $CAN20 Moukey I mentioned uses NE5532 op-amps, which are considered low noise.

yes … that 5v would have killed it for , although it looks like a cool little mixer … plus it's more then what I intended to use it for

the behringer is perfect , I even ordered a flexi cable so I can power it with my Cioks DC7

I've got a couple of these as they come in handy. I went with a Nady mm-141 years ago cause it was both cheap and ran on 9v (it is a little large though). Than some years later I bought second hand a Saturnworks mixer which is nice in that it's both compact and 9v, pretty much identical looking to that red panda.

I run 4 parallel loops on my board, can't recommend Saturnworks enough- very affordable, tough and svelt, 9v.

You'd be able to power it without power. But then, you wouldn't be able to plug anything in or out if you don't have power for those items. So...no

You might want to make sure the input and outputs works at the right impedance to work with your pedals and amp.

I have a similar USB power issue with my Faderfox PC4, what 5v regulator do you use?
I tried a One Control USB power unit. It's nice an small, but it's very heavy and draws way too much current…this thing has a huge transformer in it and wants several amps.

I have the Red Panda Bit Mixer and I love it. No regrets about the price. I use the first two ins to recombine my stereo path for my amp, and the third in to add in my GR-55 if I'm using it.

Got two of the Behringers. One thats been on my pedal board for nearly 20 years and one thats new.
Both were the same price. The old one is identical to the new one, just a silver/gray chassis instead of black.
Has run whisper quiet for all its life. I even ran it at 18v (instead of 12v) for many years with no issues.
Amazing its only $20.

I use an Electro-Harmoniz Tri-Parallel mixer. Three effects loops, phase switching, tone control, independent dry signal level, can be managed in endless configurations.

Absolutely love mine. I used to have a mini-Mackie mixer on my pedalboard and thought about getting a SaturnWorks mixer made, but when I saw this (about $125 on Reverb) I realized this was the ONE for me.

I found the taper on the Berhringer knobs to be very binary...as in, I could only really hear something after I turned past 50 percent. I am sure there is a way to dial it in, but it suited my needs for basic home recording with a drummer.

So maybe the panda has a more sensitive range.

The Saturnworks is a standard 9v and plug. The Nady is 9v but has a wide center pin.

There's a Nady mixer somewhere underneath all those stickers lol.
