Pedals that (maybe) ended your GAS on an effect

Thought this would be a good thread/discussion for people looking and/or interested in pedals that that helped others find "that one" effects pedal they've been looking for. Granted all tastes are subjective and GAS never seems to completely dissolve for some (including myself), but what have been some pedals that have at least calmed your pedal purchasing? Have you found your Holy Grail for a particular effect?

One for me has been the Spaceman Explorer. I'm a phaser junkie and have owned everything from the Phase 90 to the Bi-Phase reissue. While many phasers that I've owned have been awesome, I've never thought about another phaser after acquiring the Explorer. Even though my music has and could change over the years, I don't see this pedal coming off my board in the foreseeable future.

For my fuzz that’s usable it’s the bead fuzz...mini brassmaster styled fuzz.
it’s the only one that has been usable in my bands mix AND can dial down if needed ( most the time cos it cuts through butter with its high mid / octave up overtones)... and the blend is awesome... most other fuzzes I’ve tried (muff, mastotron, super fuzz, turbo rat (debatable but at full settings kind of fuzz) ) even with bass boosts or blends didn’t sound right or fit in.. I’m more than happy with my fuzz quest. And it sounds so good to use with wah as a fuzz wah effect.

in fact with dg alpha omicron, cog mini 66 and mbd1 all my drives of various “crunch” have ended my gas...

current gas is for a replacement synth or filter pedal to my dirty robot now :)

Boss SY-1 for synth. Iron Ether Nimbus for reverb. Boss DC2-W for chorus.

On a different note, the Source Audio Nemesis killed delay for me. I loved toying with the options, and found some neat things, but it really cemented that delay just isn't part of my style.

I sold my polytope cos I ended up running it with the same settings as my ceb3... figures someone else could make better use of it then!

Eventide Pitchfactor gets almost all of my pitch shifting and delay wants. So headcrushingly deep that it kills gas for new pedals - I was GASing so bad for a Tensor, but then realized the PF could do tape stop sounds. There's a bunch of random, glitch and stutter effects under the hood, and you can put together all sorts of tricks (like a suboctave trem).

Funny story, really. I got one type of pedal, and it kind of killed the GAS for a completely different kind.

In this case, I was planning to find a fuzz I liked and later pair it with a crossover/splitter pedal (think Boss LS-2 or KMA Tyler) to try to preserve some additional low end. Suddenly a second-hand EHX muff with blend and crossover shows up at a price I couldn't resist, and -- even though the tone might not be precisely what I was looking for (plus it's frickin' huge) -- it's doing a great job for now. Looks like I'm not going to need a splitter/crossover anytime soon. :)
