Pedals under the pedalboard.

Just a quick question:

At what pedalboards should I have a look when I want to stick 2 pedals to the bodom of the boards? (also: pictures of examples would be more than welcome)

I'm in the process of building a two layer pedal board so the first layer is full size then my second layer is half the depth of the first layer so that I can put pedals i don't change and power supplies under the first, but by far the best way to do this is buy some timber and build it yourself. Here is one example I found in 20 secs of googling but there are plenty of others. This seems much easier then trying to attach stuff underneath.

With a Temple pedal board we have a voodoo pp2+, a noise gate and a high pass filter mounted below. I use zip ties to attach them. They aren't going anywhere. I do not use the plates that Temple sells but their perforated boards are great.
I was thinkin' about it, but here in Europe the smallest one costs 145 euro's ($165), that's a bit out of my price range at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, I really love this banter (COB is a great band by the way) ... but being someone who speaks fluent Dutch (my native language), English, German and French, who happen's to have problems writing because of dyslexia (which didn't make learing them any easier), I was wondering how many languages you spoke. ;)

English and Spanish. I wasn't raised in an area where other languages were useful to communicate with people on a regular basis, so learning them was purely academic. I spent my time learning other things, instead. When I've traveled, I've picked up a little German, Norwegian, and Finnish to get by. It's not terribly hard. I'm sure I make plenty of mistakes. It's all in good fun.

I once knew a guy from Belgium who said "I don't have a native language. I just speak seven languages equally badly."

Does anyone know if it is possible to stick a pedal under a pedaltrain? (I can get one really cheap)

I did this for awhile last year. The Markbass Compressore is such a ridiculously huge pedal, and I use it "always on" and never change the settings, so it made sense to me at the time to get it out of the way.

The board is a Pedaltrain PT-Pro. It wasn't quite tall enough, but remember that the Compressore is a large pedal. Some larger stick-on feet for the board would have done the trick, but in the end I put it back on top.

Not sure if I like the 2 elastic bands holding the power supply under the board idea. One commenter noted that "there is no room to plug the power cable at the front, the last aluminium bar covers half of the pedal..."
On the other hand, some very good ideas (that have been tossed around the forum world for a long time now!) executed (finally) with these boards.
Germany, huh?

Pussy Power doesn't have problems:)

A little off topic, but in the same general goal of making the most of space, I have jammed and velcroed a couple of pedals into the back/port area of my Markbass 112 combo amp. I only use a few pedals (always on non-effects like compression) and like to sit them on top of the amp. I haven't tried it yet but have also thought about using bungee cords or something to strap them to the side of my cab when there's no room on top. Trying to keep a small footprint for a crowded stage and generally keep stuff off the floor.

I use my Markbass 112 combo the same way:-) People complain about rat fur, but what do they know? I like my velcroed pedals on the top of my amp for small setups. And I don't even have to remove them if I move the amp. The "rat fur" does a nice job.

I've got a pedaltrain jr on the way (got one real cheap). The guy how sold it to me showed me a picture of a pedal (the same size as my polara) which he had stuck to the bottom of the board. I'll post a picture of the board as soon as I've set it up.

Big thanks for the help!
