Added the MXR onboard for recording purposes. Was deciding between the MXR Distortion III or the Plus but eventually got the latter. I must say, its an awesome little thing.

I've seen a lot of people in this thread who have a FT-jr in the top tray, have any of you thought about doing a mod like this...

Not necessarily with the socket though.

It doesnt seem like it be that hard to do, plus it looks a whole lot tidier

You guys have sold me. Just ordered a Mini today to reconfigure myself a smaller, more portable board. I love my large one, but hey, small is good too! Nice to have options.

Pics coming soon, but it will include:
Korg DT-10
Sansamp BDDI
EHX Nano Small Stone
Analogman bichorus
Boss DD-6 Delay
Godlyke power supply.

Can't wait...

I can get a good sound anywhere with this. If I have a good amp I connect to the parallel out on the BDDI. No need to muck up the sound of a nice rig. I can also power the rig from the parallel port and run the DI off of the end of the exciter to beef up the house sound. Little PA's get the BDDI and the exciter, Big PA's just get the BDDI. The BDDI and exciter also have a big impact on the sound of the distortion so I get a lot of variety. Cheaper Bass amps and keyboard amps sound really good with the BDDI and Exciter. I power it all with a one spot.

I've been in contact with Bart from the Gear Page. He's a really super guy and real helpful on how he put everything together. From what I understand Pedaltrain was pretty impressed with his ideas.

This is great news. Did the PT people provide any feedback on incorporating Bart's mods into a future PT mini release?

I'd be willing to bet that they take advantage of the design. They'd dummies not to. Just look at what the voodoo labs pedal power did for the larger pedaltrains.

It really would have been nice if T-Rex had utilized an IEC setup rather than the fixed cable. I'm sure that was driven by costs or something to do with their UL/CSA approval.

Forgot to post this in this thread. Valcoder is leaving...I have something else incoming. Should be able to update on Friday.

how do you like the swollen pickle? i saw one here and tried it, i got i really good sound from it with my Sadowsky Metro. i have a Supercoliider Mini on my PT Mini now. i'm just curious about the sound comparison between the 2. i wanted to try it side by side but the shop owner was grumpy so i didn't bother. any ideas on the sound qualities of the 2 beasts?

nice board by the way!!!

mine is on page 2 of this thread if you're interested to see.

thanks!!

its good to be back!!! been out for a while!!!:D

Gotta ask, whats the point of having the OC-2, and the MXR 288 on the board? The MXR is octave up and down, so why not remove the OC-2?

The MXR is only octave down.

One arguement is different settings, maybe 1 for 100% octave down and another for mixed

Yep, just a different mix between the two. Also, the OC-2 doesn't have quite the sustain the MXR does if needed.

Two different AWESOME animals ;)

I have not played around with a lot of fuzz boxes yet, however the second I plugged into a Swollen Pickle I was immediately happy. That about all I know.

I a/b'd the Swollen Pickle and the Supercollider in GC one day. It was fairly quiet (no metalheads shredding away).
The Supercollider was quite a bit more focused and less hairy gain-wise than the SP, and I really liked the depth control. The SP sounded alright, and I'm sure if I didnt have a Supercollider I wouldve liked it more. But the Supercollider wins for me.
