I know plenty of people who have never heard of Black Sabbath, or that think Led Zeppelin is a person.

Suckbird, I would be more mad about the fact that he bought a guitar and didn't even both to touch it. Why would he buy it in the first place if he had no musical knowledge?

He saw me play bass and then aso wanted to play "something".

His dad bougth him a guitar for christmas, he wasn't easy to teach either but after a while he learned how to play smoke on the water on one string and heaven's on fire

Some people dont listen to music. I'm referring to the actual act of putting on a record or cd, and listening to it. A lot of people dont do that. A lot of people only hear music on the radio.... when they get in their cars....only for an hour as drive home. So its natural to assume that they have'nt heard as much as we have.

Everyone here has some kind of interest in music, be it a hobby, recreation or professional. Sometimes it easy to forget how much knowledge you gain along the way. Why is not hard to understand that we know more about music than people who dont play an instrument.

He did indeed invent the seed drill. But I believe the aqualung was a later invention....

Oui, but he was a founding member of Jethro Tull who left before they landed (sorry for that choice of words) their first recording contract.
