Yep, he does some pretty out there flamenco style stuff. I've seen him play at NAMM in a friend's booth. You can find more vids on Facebook, he got a new bass last year from my friend that's the same model as my fretless, but his is a fretted fiver. I played it before it shipped, it was way cool. Better not say any more due to the CUP!

While stunning technique-wise, I don't hear a "song" or "tune" in the first 10 minutes. Now, when he did the flamenco part in the beginning, I was "Hey, coool intor, the song should be good.", but, where I was expecting he and the drummer to break into a song, it never really materialized. which kind of bummed me out.

Just to s**t-stir, you should post this in the "Uber bassist" thread.

Continuing to watch the video, I am surprised at the low level of Latin "groove" going on. will continue watching.
