Pet-names for you gear?

I didn't think of naming my speaker cab and head...might have to think on that one...
but my basses names are:
Spencer P bass-Pinky (it's like a pepto pink color)
Fender Squier J-Cherry
Fender J- Raleigh (cause got at Guitard Center in Raleigh, NC)
Ibanez GSR-200 (blue)-Blue Jay (bought from a guy named Jay)
Ibanez GSR-200(transparent red)- Poison Ivy "Ivy" (cause it came with missing tuning peg-which I replaced and I broke the E string on it- :rollno:yea I know....how...embarrassing story.:eyebrow:)
Ibanez GSR-100-Black Beauty "Blackie" on account that she is..well, black in color.

I've got a Cort Action and a Dean Edge One. I gave them names to distinguish them from each other in situations like, 'Pass me my bass, would you?' which could result in the response 'Hey dude, which one?'

So now the Cort is called, 'My Bass,' and the Dean is called, 'My Other Bass,'. And I say, 'Pass me My Bass,' and if they hand me the Dean, I reply, 'No man, my Other Bass', and they get the message.

But lately, for some reason, my bandmates have started replying, 'Get it your freakin self.'

-his mother. (only when asker is bigger than me, and bystander is smaller)
-a kitten slaughtering good time wrapped in ribbons.
-my johnson. (only when it's on the floor behind me, and they point in it's direction while asking)
-GRENADE!!!

honestly, i'm starting to think nobody has ever seen a bass pod xt before...

I named two of my basses (my main gigging basses)

My Fender 5 string PBass is named "Sweet J" after a girl I had a crush in for so many years

My Peavey Cirrus Custom Shop 5 string I named it "Cloud"

My old OLPMM2 before I sold it was called "Fawkes" because it was red but it didn't really stick so it was referred to as "The OLP" and before that my first bass was just called "The Silvertone" only because I've yet to think of a clever/and or fitting name for it. But my Fender Jazz I have now is called "Stella" simply because she sounds STELLA!

I would NEVER EVER refer to my gear in public by these names,
but at home me and my girl call my basses (in a heavy metal growly voice):

"Explosion Machines"
and they are:

Explosion Machine 1 (right) *headstock blurred to protect the innocent
Explosion Machine 2 (left)
Explosion Machine 3 (center)

my rig is affectionately called the "Doombringer".

Duh. :smug:

Should I feel really immature if sometimes I call my cheap jay turser p-bass copy booger, or craphammer? (thanks to seymour duncan "hot" pups, a new bridge, and an amazing paintjob by my buddy, sounds really really really good). My Jaguar bass was named "Jimmi" by a friend, and no one's named my explorer bass yet. My friend named his guitar "ol bets" (as in betsy). Other than that, I don't have any other names. My jag used to have a female name (it was named by some girl) but I liked "Jimmi" better and have since forgotten what the female name was.

OK, this is going to sound weird but...

I've thought I should name my SR-300 ever since I bought it, but I didn't want to go arbitrarily sticking a name on it.

Last week, she told me her name is Sabrina.

Don't ask. There were no drugs involved. I wish there were, 'cause then I'd have an excuse for an inanimate object telling me its name.

My old G&L SB-2, which I dearly wish I hadn't sold, was named Isadore. Again, I had owned the bass for a while, and he told me his name. At least that time, there were drugs, so I don't feel as bad.
