Hi, I'm 4stringB. I normally infest, I mean inhabit, the Amps and Cabs forum. I recently acquired a Peterson Strobostomp pedal, at the flea market for the magnificent sum of $5.00 USD. The display works, but only shows "G", but does not change to the proper note. And the graphic display does react to hitting the strings, but not in a coherent fashion. I've disassembled it, the boards look OK, checked for cold/cracked solder joints, etc. The manufacturer wants 60.00 USD, plus shipping, to "repair" it. I'm sure its a lot cheaper to simply replace the guts of the pedal, rather than repair SMT devices. Does anyone know a generic source for these boards, or any repair tips?
