My cat doesn't mind my basses and guitars so much, but she does seem to rather dislike when I play my contrabass clarinet. 
I remember growing up our old springer spaniel loved to lay against the left end of the piano whenever anyone was playing (especially my mom, the real pianist, she always complained he'd get in her way on the pedals).

My cat doesn't give a crap.......about anything really.
I've trained my dogs to ignore me so that practicing at home will simulate a gig.
I don't think my dog cares too much about my amp (I use a Rumble 15 at home for practicing), but he usually jumps onto my lap whenever I play. Or really sit, in general.
We had a way-cool bearded dragon who was really a personality. But every time I'd start playing, he'd get fussy, moving around in his habitat, wanting out. He didn't seem to like the heavy vibrations.
My cattle dog sits next to me because he is jealous. My pit bull goes in another room, but she is also afraid of thunderstorms.
Our first cat, which we had for 16 years and is now 8 years gone, had the most incredible response to my playing
the bass at home. I would sit down and she would jump on my lap. I would pluck the E string and she would vigorously
rub her head on the vibrating neck. I truly believe she thought the bass was purring at her. These episodes could take 1/2 hour
or more and she looked forward to my bass time with great enthusiasm. It got so that hearing the zipper coming down on my gig bag
would send her running from anywhere in the house, squealing with joy. This was an amazing thing and was part of who she was.
It got so that by the time she was done my butt was numb from sitting and my allotted playing time would be up.
She had no favorites and loved all my basses equally.
We still miss her very much - she was much more than just a cat.

They don't listen, they don't look, they don't even care when I talk to them, all they want is food!
Maybe I should sell my da#ç(&.. aquarium?

I have had to replace window blinds, blankets, pillows, and shoes; but they haven't touched my bass. Maybe they know the Hondo is just plywood, so not really worth the trouble.
When we adopted our first dog 3 years ago, he hated it , as soon as I went to grab one of my bass' he would freak out, forget about playing...now, 3 years later I had to put a second dog bed right next to my amp as "my studio"
has become "his studio" and he loves being around no matter how loud or long I play, he sleeps right through. He is a Black Lab / Pit mix, my Great Dane / Cane Corso mix was never phased at all by it.

My dog retreats to her safe space when I'm playing audibly, although I usually practice w/ headphones. Then again, she flips out any time she hears the "BING" notification on my phone when I receive a text so what can I say? She's an old, neurotic dog.
No animals are allowed near the jam room. The cat mistook an open sax case as a litter box once and that was the end of that. In his defense it was a 100 year old saxophone case and it probably didn't smell that much different from his litter box.
My dog doesn't mind when I play bass or guitar. But, she'll go running if I start messing around with my Novation Bass Station II. She is NOT a fan of bass synth.
My dog is ok with finger picking but hates when I slap. I think she has developed some musical taste.
