PF-50T - should I pull the trigger?

Dimmers do strange things. We have a dimmer in our bedroom that emits this high pitched noise if it's turned down to between 1/2 and 3/4. You can only hear it if everything is quiet. Freaked me out the first time I heard it. I walked all around the room until I realized the noise was coming from the dimmer switch!

my back-up amp is an Ashdown ABM 500 (500watts...). I can only make it as loud as my PF50 before i get dirty looks, and it doenst sound nearly as good.

It has 2 DIs for FOH. If you play in a mature band that listens and understands playing dynamics, appropriate stage volumes youll be more than happy with the PF50.

Pull the trigger!!! Check out the portaflex thread about cases for it though. Im selling my V4B because of this amp!

I'm thinking of doing this same thing with my PF50-t. I wonder, do the feet of the head match up with the indentions on the top of the cab? Comparing sizes from what I find online it looks like the head may be a little wider than the cab so I'd worry about it getting bumped off.

Yeah as Jimmy said the PF-50T sits on the 210AV OK, but hangs over. Depending on the gig, I'd worry about it getting bumped.
I'm thinking about cutting a piece of plywood the width of the PF-50T, cutting holes for the amp feet and putting feet on the bottom of the plywood to fit the 210AV.

That would be weird! But I tried t and it doesn't seem to make a difference.
I'm pretty sure it's my power and/or room environment. It doesn't hum like that at my drummer's house.

BTW The PF-50T also sounds good for guitar. I plugged in my 2 humbucker Les Paul Junior, cranked up the gain, and got instant "Get Yer YaYas Out" tone.

Well maybe not perfect, but I made sure the holes were perfect and the slot fits the handle on the cab nice and snug. Now hopefully the paint will dry enough to not stick to anything - got a gig tonight!

I noticed the bottom of the amp was getting scratched by the cab's handle screws, so it probably wasn't really sitting right on the feet.
