If anyone is interested, local store here in the Philly area, Bass Specialties, is switching to all on-line sales. Glenn has a bunch of brand new cabs (Aggie GS and DB, Genz Uber and Focus, EA Wizzy, Glock 112) that he's blowing out at clearance prices.

I already buy all of my strings from him via mail. It's just cheaper than driving out there. I just called, he's got some great stuff marked down, but nothing that suits me...

I live out near West Chester so it's a hike for me too. He's got some great cab deals going on but same here I'm not in the cab market right now. HOWEVER, I did buy a P-bass at a great price that I'm picking up tomorrow!

I see that you're from Philly kai_ski. I grew up in Northeast Philly - Harbison and the Boulevard. Not sure if you know that area.

Or, do you know if he has an Aguilar 810? Like maybe an S810?

He doesn't have the clearance stuff on the website. He did an email blast to list the clearance items. Website though is Link Removed.
No 810 on the list but in the way of Aggie gear he's got a DB410, 210, 115 and GS212 and 112NT

Oh, I neglected to mention he's got a Berg NV610 that he's blowing out as well.

I'm not a Philly native so I don't know much outside of center city and nw.

I think he said $1025 on the nv610. Pretty sweet.

Ha ha! Funny. Unfortunately, I already have an Aggie 112, 210, 115, and 410. And a Berg NV610. But I still want an 810. Dual sealed pairs-style.

Yeah it's too bad about the store, it was a cool little place. I didn't get out there much but I liked it as an idea.

I think the nv610 is gone now though.

The prices aren't THAT amazing and he's kind of an ornery guy. I love the store in theory, but I wish I could say I'll miss it. I'll miss the idea of what it coulda been. I wish him all the best and I'm sure he'll do extremely well online. I'll probably buy all my strings from him.

Yeah, funny how things work out. Half of it is in storage in Florida. And now I'm moving to Virginia. Once I get settled and get my stuff out of storage, I'll probably move some of it along. It's all great gear, but I definitely don't need nearly as many rigs as I have...

a couple of years ago, I was ready to buy a Berg NV412 or NV610, but he was such a d**k, I decided to walk out... and as luck would have it, a few days later, I found a used NV610 here on TB.... $600 shipped!

Damn, just bought a set of Lo-Riders from Amazon, but I have bought tons of sets from Bass Specialties without issue. Shipping is usually fast, too. I wish I knew about this before I bought from Amazon

Harbison and the Blvd... You didn't ask me, but I know it well.. The Pathmark - near Unruh St.. My family used to live back behind there.. I grew up in Holmesburg... Yep, Good times.
