Picco Micro Scale Bass Thread

I am sorry I have to post this but, on Friday I was in a restaurant eating, when someone came into the restaurant and announced:
"Who owns a Brown Ford Windstar?" I said Tan? He said yes. I got up and went over to him and he explained. "Your car was just hit by someone in a White Jeep Cherokee and he took off but I got the license number." I went out to look while calling the police. What a mess, I can only hope his car is a mess also. Contacted my insurance company and gave them all the pertinent information and am now waiting to see what happens. So I have had to back out of purchasing anything until this is cleared up. Bummer I was so looking forward to this tool. Maybe later depending how things go.

Oh man, this complicates something crazy I was going to do. My grandson, 3, shows a real aptitude for music. We trust him with the grand-piano on his own. I've been goofing with him on my lap along with a bass since he was a few months old. I was going to get a DeArmond or Kala for his use. Maybe it will be a Picco.

I think the metal-strung PiccoBass would be more durable and less frustrating in the hands of a 3 year old.

What rotten luck! Hit and run drivers should get mandatory license suspensions.

A digital multitrack was procured to do it Right.

Thanks. Appreciate that. I'm all stiff and rusty. Been spending all my time getting a bass built - instead of playing one. :)
I'm also suffering from some recording Red Light syndrome.

Now that there is some naked audio out there, next will be - through an amp, captured with mics in the room.

I agree - this bass is Screaming for tape wounds. :)
Baby steps.

I think some of you are really going to like some aspects of the dimensions. The guitar sized body is really comfortable.
But then, the neck, while the shorter scale, is, to me, a legitimate bass neck. Not super fat or chunky, but it has a *little* more room on the fretboard than the 28.6 inch scale bass some of us are familiar with. I always felt I was *falling off* that fretboard on the 28.6.
Really thinking the neck here is a winner. Time will tell.

When will the nest order be placed, just trying to understand the timing. I am still waiting on the Insurance Co and the police report, to try and clear up the Hit and Run. What a Pain in the Back end this has been. I think there is a song in there some where. I will be headed to FL. on Tuesday from WA. its a long flight and I am sure my arms will be tired by the time I get there.
