Picco Micro Scale Bass Thread

I really hate round wound strings, I love flats, or tape wound flats. I got my start playing an upright and when I first tried an EBG back in 62, that I had borrowed from Big Al Anderson, I gave it back after 2 weeks of trying to play it. I just could not and cannot stand round wounds.

Frank could I get some measurements on the bass, I need the following:

Ball end of string to the nut
Ball end of string to the E String tuning post

I would like to have flat wound strings, possibly tape wounds, waiting for when the bass comes to me.

Also is it possible to get a phone number please?
Thank you,
Gary

End of ball to end of nut is 27 1/4.
End of ball to end of nut spec I gave to my custom string builder
was 27 1/2.
End of ball to center of E post is 29 3/4.

I had 2 friends that ended up with c dif after taking antibiotics for other ailments, it was not fun for them. In 2012 I was bitten on my right hand by a cat and got blood poisoning. I spent 4 days in the hospital and they put me on antibiotics that said the side effect to the antibi could be c dif. I started taking a good probiotic to help build up the old immune system. I didn't get c dif thank god.

This'd be a great noodlin' on the couch instrument.

Or at the office. That's probably its main appeal.

Its understated good looks will fit in well with acoustic guitars and other folk instruments.

It should also be great for:

Gigging small venues with tiny stages

Busking with a battery powered amp

Transporting in a sub-compact vehicle

All great uses.

My two cents is:

- A Solid Body Bass with an Adjustable Bridge that really is fun to play.
- Not something that feels like a tree trunk.
- Feels like - a guitar.
- Weighs like a guitar.
- But it's a no compromise Bass with very nice bass tone.
- And a very nice Bass neck.
- Sporting an all Natural Satin light finish from head to toe.

Rounded curves, natural, easy to hug, comfortable, with very nice tone.
My Valentine. :)

That's a good description of my wife. There may be jealousy issues ahead...

With the recent bad weather in the Northeast, I understand that there's another day or so before sound samples are posted and orders for the first batch are closed. Folks who have been on the fence can still get in if they decide to (very) soon:

I ordered a set of LaBellas custom made Black Nylon Tapes for the soon to be mine Picco Stealth Micro Bass 25.5" scale from Bass Strings Online today. It will be 1 to 2 months. So if any others prefer Tape wound strings I suggest you contact Jason and get in line otherwise you will be stuck with round wounds.

Thanks, I'm all over this.
