Pick a color for my Precision Bass

Rosewood neck has better tone IMO... I owned 2 maple neck and I changed it for rosewood .. think about it !

i know.
i have a few maple neck bass, and i like the look and the tone.
"better" tone is relative.
i did like what i heard from the one i played at GC though, which was rosewood.

There are only three colors for a P bass; black, oly white, and sunburst.

So given the choices, I pick bass #1!

I voted for #4: "Arctic" white w/maple, but I'd go with a Silver Pearloid pickguard (or Black Pearl as a second choice): either would be a nice contrast against the bright shade of white and a change of pace from the overused Tortoiseshell.

Agreed. Of the two remaining choices this is a no brainer for me. And to go the extra mile and put on the gold anodized pickguard is a good move too, 'specially if you add a tug bar. Classy!

You already have a precision. Get a different bass altogether. Like a G&L L-2000
If I had to choose, I'd go with sunburst with rosewood, because I have two white basses, and one sunburst. I like the sunburst's looks the best, and yes, I have put a tortoise picguard on it. I also prefer rosewood.

I wanted a Fender Precision Bass 50s Classic originally, but it`s sold out in Europe, and Thomann (German internet seller) say`s they won`t get any in the future either, it`s probably out of production or will be, i don`t know. It had 4 colors with maple necks to choose from. Pity, for that was what i originally wanted to get.
Now it`s a Lake Placid Blue Standard with maple neck i am waiting to arrive.

Sunburst/Rosewood... with tortoise pickguard. Don't like that white pickguard on sunburst at all: it looks cheap, whereas it's a dream on Fiesta Red.

Go white with maple. You'll be able to use any color pickguard with it, plus white looks great under stage lights.

tbh either is gonna rock. I hate the thought of white, but a white p bass is kinda cool. bursts are the ultimate for me. i just dig seeing the wood grain - even if it's a little.

idk, im liking this more and more. the only thing i would have to get is the pickguard, i have everything else. and i could get it fairly cheap.
except the pic shown is probably honey blonde, not artic white.

looking at fender's color chart, the difference between artic white and oly white is huge.
anybody have both to compare?

edit: unless i found a PG thats a drop in for a MIM, id have to drill new holes. :/
