Pick up Replacement for Ibanez Mikro Static Noise

Hey all,

I just put Fender mustang pj neck pick ups and Fender jazz 60s classic series bridge pick up on the mikro (with some shaving of the body). It actually sounds pretty good! One issue I'm having is for some reason only when I'm doing continuous open notes there is a lot of static. But when I play fretted notes there is no static. Very strange. I know it's not my amp. Any idea what went wrong?

If you're not touching any metal on the bass for those open notes, there will naturally be more noise. Have you noticed the noise subsides when you touch the strings.

Yeah I do actually. And not sure if you can tell from the clip it's more of a static then a hum.
