Pick your favorite iconic car from any decade....

Back in high schools we all had Mopars (not me, I didn't own a car back then), Coronets, Darts, Dusters, Road Runners, GTX, Satellites, etc.

My first car was a 1974 Plymouth Valiant, and I learned to drive a standard on a 1981 Dodge Omni. That was about it for us as far as Mopar goes, though.

My HS parking lot was full of mostly GM products and a couple of Fords........ a dozen second generation Camaros, a few Chevelles, a Cutlass or so and a Mustang here or there. If there were any cool Mopars there, I don't remember them.

I have never owned any MOPAR cars even though I liked them. Many of friends owned MOPARS in the 1960s and 1970s. Currently, some of my friends own incredible, classic MOPAR muscle cars such as Superbees, GTXs, Dusters, Challengers, etc. from that era.

I own a Pontiac Firebird but not from that time.

If you own a Firebird, it must already be a classic

Thankfully, Western NY road salt ate all those heaps up years ago. It's probably been 7-8 years since one rolled into my shop.

Yeah, it's been a very long time since I've seen one at all. I did see an older Escort on the street a while back, though. I suppose it was probably a 90 or so. That was a pretty rare sight.

Lack of cars with any character is one of the "problems" of the world today.


Hopefully, when electric cars are the largest part of the market , we can get back to road beasts such as these.

Same here. Mopar's were never that big where I grew up in the beach cities of SoCal. More like GM, Ford and imported sports cars.

Only import sports car I remember in our lot was a Porsche 914 that a kid in my homeroom had.

We had Porsche 911's, 914's, Datson 240 Z's, Opel GT's, Fiat 850's and 124's, plus TR's and MGB's. With the mild warm climate here, it was perfect for these models.

My bride and I rented a Probe in San Francisco on our honeymoon in 1991. Drove it up to Muir Woods and Stinson Beach along the coast. That is the only time that I ever got motion sick in a car. I was ok when I drove us there, but the mrs. got sick; she was ok when she drove us back, but I got sick.

BTW, went back for our tenth anniversary in 2001 and rented a Ford Ranger. Drove it down to Monterey and Carmel. I got sick again but not because of the car(truck.) I just got a bug.
