I remember when Hondas first started showing up here. They were strange and boxy, totally utilitarian, got great mileage, and their owners loved them.

And they lasted forever! My son, now 20, is driving my old Civic. It was the first new car I ever bought and drove off the lot back in ‘97. So he’s driving a car that is 5 1/2 years older than he is. And that little car still runs great.

Back in my High School days (1981-1985) either of those cars could have been had for $500 or less..... being 4 doors, that was the equivalent of social suicide.

Today those same cars command stupid money.

Yep, 4 doors is what our grand parents drove. Today, there are more 4 door car models being made than 2 door models. Times have changed.
