Sad that cars like these aren't made anymore style-wise. I mean, the attempt seems to be there sometimes, but there is something still missing with moden sports cars.

I was behind a Mercedes Maybach GLS 600 today. Just looked like an ordinary suv from that angle. Didn't get to see the front or the interior. Somebody then cut in front of me in a no-pass zone.
The GLS 600 is neither a 5.9 Liter, nor a 12 cylinder. Things ain't what they used to be.

sadly there is not much concern for style or eye appeal, seems like its more about how many "systems" they can cram into a vehicle and how much they will make back when they inevidably go wonky and need a service, because you know ...who doesnt like a million options , most of which they have no real idea what they actually do. If it cost more it must be better right ?

I'll take your word for that years they are, you probably know more about F**ds than I do, being I'm a Chevy guy.
Either way, they're both cool.
I think it also has a lot to do with safety and fuel efficiency mandates.
Rented a Jeep Gladiator on a trip to Palm Springs last month. The driving experience around town was nice, like you own the road, but not so much on the freeway. Obviously, it's an off-road vehicle. The biggest surprise was how small it is inside. Maybe I'm just not used to trucks anymore.
That doesnt seem to be an issue with three quarter ton 6.2 liter hemi pickup trucks you need a ladder to get into, that gets 10 MPG downhill with a tail wind. Lets face it, we will never be a style trend setter in the automotive world, we get homogenized steel cans with lots of gizmos, thats who we are these days. The Italians will be the leader in style as they always have been. You want a cool looking car than go see a custom street rod builder, kind of the only real alternative.
They could still make a lot of them look better.
I remember seeing a Maybach 62 S being parked on a narrow road near a restaurant at the river. Thoise are sizable. Great engine sound.
